Dr. Fumio Itoh is Executive Director of WuXi AppTec Japan. Dr. Itoh is a trained chemist with his PhD obtained from Kyoto University.
He has accumulated over 30 years of extensive expertise in drug discovery and development in 2 Japanese pharmaceutical companies.
In Takeda, he was engaged as the director in Medicinal Chemistry Research for 12 years.
In 2014, he moved to Mochida Pharmaceutical as a chemistry head then served as the deputy director of Research Center responsible for open innovation.
