Being from England I can ‘interpret’ Rachel Doyle, but my needlepoint experiences has been in the US and I am accustomed to the excellent stitch charting used here (e.g. arrows to show how the stitch is formed), also lacking is information on where to use a stitch. The canvas manufacturers must be delighted at all the wasted canvas resulting from using a hoop!
